Today I walked the Westhampton Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease. Three miles from the Village to Westhampton Beach and back – the second time this annual event has been held. The weather, like last year, was splendid. The event is lots of fun, well-run and raises money for a good cause. Once again, the Nancy Burner and Associates law firm was a major sponsor. The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research. Alzheimer’s disease affects one’s quality of life – including the ability to maintain dental health. It is the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. The event is held annually in more than 600 communities, and people of all ages and abilities participate.
Here is a photo of Nancy and me at the finish line. Here’s to next year!
